Downloading the Sculpto App without using App Store or Google Play Store

Introduction

In this guide, we will walk you through how to get the app for your device, in-case you are having any trouble with downloading the app from your preferred app-gallery.

Luckily the approach is simple, if you carefully follow the steps in this easy-to-follow guide.

Before starting, please consult the table of contents below to quickly skip to the section that satisfies your needs;

For Android-devices

If you want to get started as quick as possible, we recommend using the web-version of our app at app.sculpto.dk.

To get your hands on the Android app so you can get started with using your printer, we have saved a backup APK-file for android-devices for simple and easy download here:

Step 1: Download the APK-file

Click here to download the file.

Once you go to the URL by clicking the link or scanning the QR code, you will be met by this prompt or similar:

Here, click the "download" button to proceed to downloading and installing the app.

Step 2: Running the APK-file

Once downloaded, simply run the file by clicking the notification. It should look something like this:

After clicking the notification, a prompt like shown will show up:

Here, you click either "update" or "download".

Step 3: Run the app

If done correctly, you can now run the app from the app-screen of your android device.

For iOS-devices (iPhones, iPads, etc.)

If you have set up your printer and iOS-device

For iOS, using the web-version of the app on app.sculpto.dk will suffice, if your printer is already set up and associated with your Sculpto user. Simply login using the form on the front page, and you should see your printer in the "printers" section of the app. See picture below for reference:

If you have not set up your printer and iOS-device

If you for any reason at all cannot access the app through App Store, or if you don't have an Apple-ID to use for downloading apps from said store, we have compiled a guide for you to follow. Please be aware that you need to create a Sculpto user if you haven't done so already. This can be done at app.sculpto.dk on the front-page as shown in the image below:
