1: Clean your filament gear

If your filament gear isn't pushing the filament through and instead is grinding into it, then the first thing to do is cleaning the filament

A filament-covered gear is not going to grab the filament and will instead grind into it. To clean the filament gear please follow this:

1. Unscrew the 3 screws over the filament gear and open the lid.
2.  Clean out the filament gear from excess filament with something small and sharp/pointy to get in between the ridges. (a needle/toothpick/toothbrush e.g.) 
3. Also check that the tubes aren't clogged by previous filament, since this can clog new filament from running through and can result in grinding.
4. Make sure the spring mechanism is placed correctly here.
