3D printing does not happen without any upkeep and maintenance - this includes regular cleaning of the gear, built plate and sometimes nozzle.
We have collected our guides for cleaning the printer parts here:
Please keep in mind, that some parts will need to be replaced due to wear and tear, when cleaning is not sufficient anymore. New parts can be purchased here.
When should I clean it?
The printer can run into multiple issues if regular maintenance is not done. Here are some signs that your printer needs cleaning/maintenance:
- Filament is not coming out of the nozzle (clean the gear + maybe the nozzle)
- The gear is making clicking noises (clean the gear + maybe the nozzle)
- Prints are falling off the built plate/lifting off (clean the built plate + Z calibration)
- The prints are looking stringy (clean the nozzle)
